The Ballarto Road Family and Community Centre is beingconstructed to support rapid population growth in Melbourne’s southeast,delivering essential early years and family services within a high‑quality,Green Star‑rated facility. Funded through the Victorian School BuildingAuthority’s Building Blocks Capacity Grant program, the centre will create,expand, and enhance early childhood and community infrastructure to meetgrowing local demand.

The project includes the delivery of three licensedkindergarten rooms, each with associated children’s amenities, storage, lockerareas, and shaded outdoor play spaces, supported by on‑site car parking andstaff and community amenities throughout. A large multipurpose community roomwill provide flexibility for a range of programs and activities and iscomplemented by a family bathroom, commercial kitchen, and two maternal andchild health consulting rooms with a dedicated waiting area.

The facility also incorporates a welcoming reception areafor three staff, along with a shared administration and staff hub accommodatingup to five staff members. External works include landscaped open spaces, afront plaza with seating, bike path connections, and the integration of apublic art installation in accordance with the City of Casey Public Art Policy.Together, the project will deliver a sustainable, welcoming, and future‑focusedcommunity asset that supports early learning, family wellbeing, and long‑termcommunity growth.
