Epping SC Food Tech Facility.

Cooking Up the Future of Food Technology Education.
This project involved the delivery of a significant upgrade to the existing food technology and hospitality facilities, addressing long‑standing limitations that no longer supported contemporary curriculum requirements or industry expectations. The previous spaces were undersized and constrained, with ageing services and equipment that posed safety risks, restricted teaching adaptability, and fell short of current commercial kitchen standards. A full replacement was therefore essential to ensure the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of practical, hands-on learning programs for students.
The scope of works included construction of a new food technology facility along with a complete upgrade of services to the existing area, providing modern infrastructure capable of supporting intensive hospitality training. New commercial-grade equipment, benches, and high-performance extraction systems were installed to replicate real-world kitchen environments and meet current codes and standards. These upgrades significantly improve functionality, safety, and durability while allowing for greater flexibility in lesson delivery and multi‑purpose use.
The completed works have transformed the facility into a suite of contemporary learning spaces that align with industry practices and educational needs. The upgraded environment now supports experiential learning, enhances student engagement, and provides staff with the tools and flexibility required to deliver high-quality food technology and hospitality education. The result is a future-ready facility designed to support skill development, safety, and innovation in practical learning outcomes.
