Maryborough Avenue Kindergarten.

The Maryborough Avenue Kindergarten extension was delivered to modernise an ageing facility, address long‑standing capacity limitations, and respond to growing demand associated with State Government early years reforms. The existing kindergarten was no longer able to adequately support contemporary early childhood education programs or accommodate the forecast increase in early childhood enrolments within the local community. To meet these needs, the centre was expanded to provide capacity for 66 places and transformed into a high‑quality, welcoming, and accessible learning environment for children, families, and staff.

The works included an extension to the existing single‑storey building to create modern, flexible learning spaces, refurbishment of internal playrooms, and upgrades to staff and children’s facilities and amenities throughout the centre. Outdoor areas were enhanced through improved play spaces and landscaping designed to support contemporary early learning and outdoor play, while front‑of‑site carparking was formalised to improve safety and accessibility, including the provision of a designated accessible parking bay. Together, these improvements ensure the kindergarten can continue to deliver inclusive, high‑quality early childhood education and meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
