Constructive Group was nominated for Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings $3M - $5M at the 2025 Master Builders Awards for delivering The Cat Doctors. A purpose-built feline veterinary hospital featuring a striking cantilevered first-floor clinical space, supported by a precise lift-slab construction technique and anchored by steel columns, creating a dynamic suspended structure. The exterior design was further enhanced by a distinctive timber batten screen wrapping the first-floor glazing, providing privacy, passive solar shading, and a warm aesthetic. The construction team expertly coordinated the complex integration of these architectural elements, ensuring the cantilevered concrete slab was executed with precision to maintain structural integrity. Additionally, sustainable systems such as rooftop PV panels and rainwater harvesting were incorporated, alongside high-performance glazing to maximise energy efficiency. With meticulous attention to detail, Constructive Group navigated the challenges of the site to deliver a visually striking and functional facility that sets new standards in feline veterinary care.
